Our Mission at the Northeastern Wisconsin Orchid Society

We seek to promote interest in the conservation of orchids, the world's largest flowering plant family.  We choose to do this by community involvement in conservation of native and tropical orchids through:

  • Educational programs to increase awareness by lectures and demonstrations on plant culture, propagation, and  preservation.
  • Book donations to regional libraries.
  • Creation, development, and participation in the regional botanical native gardens.
  • Native plant rescues and relocation due to the destruction of native habitats.
